The Eames A19
Classic Character, Modern Performance

Inspired by the mid-century domestic design language Charles and Ray Eames helped define, the Eames A19 pairs a familiar lamp silhouette with the performance of modern LED lighting.

Part of Archipelago Lighting’s Décor nostⒶLGIC series, it is designed for spaces where lighting contributes to the atmosphere of the room, from residential living spaces to hospitality guest rooms and restaurants. Warm color temperatures, multiple glass options, high color rendering, and smooth dimming give designers flexibility without losing the character of a classic A19 lamp.

A Familiar A19, Designed to Be Seen

The Eames starts with the recognizable A19 silhouette and gives designers three distinct glass options: Frosted, Clear, and Silver-Tip. Each creates a different visual expression while maintaining the familiar proportions and E26 medium base of a traditional A19 lamp.

Rather than being limited to fixtures where the light source is hidden, the Eames is intended for applications where the lamp can become part of the design itself. Table lamps, reading sconces, bedside fixtures, decorative clusters, and bar sconces are among the applications identified for the series.

Warm Light, Modern Performance

The nostalgic character of the Eames is supported by modern lighting performance. Available CCT options include 2400K, 2700K, and 3000K, allowing the lamp to support different levels of warmth depending on the space and selected SKU.

The series offers up to CRI 90+, with a 25,000-hour L70 rated life and omnidirectional 360-degree distribution. Depending on the specific SKU, lumen output ranges from 350 to 800 lumens.

Dimming is equally important for spaces built around atmosphere. The Eames supports TRIAC, ELV, and CL leading- and trailing-edge dimming and is designed to dim smoothly down to 5%. Archipelago Lighting also publishes tested dimmer compatibility for control systems from manufacturers including Lutron, Leviton, Legrand, Forbes & Lomax, and Cooper.

Designed for Residential and Hospitality Spaces

The Eames A19 is built for environments where visual comfort and atmosphere are as important as illumination.

For residential spaces, Archipelago identifies living-room table lamps, reading sconces, and mantel sconces as key applications. In hospitality, the lamp can be used in bedside table lamps, corridor sconces, and lobby vanity strips. Restaurant applications extend to ambient overhead clusters and bar sconces.

This range allows the same recognizable A19 form to work across intimate residential settings and larger hospitality projects while maintaining a consistent design language.

Applicable variants are also available with CEC Title 24 JA8-2022-E and T20 compliance, while the series is UL Listed and RoHS compliant. The Eames carries a 3-year / 25,000-hour warranty.
