The Foundry Edison
An Edison Lamp for Heritage Specs

On a heritage or hospitality job, Edison-style lamps are bought by the room: a lobby chandelier, a corridor of sconces, a run of pendants over a bar, every filament exposed and seen side by side. The Foundry Edison is built for that job. It is the shouldered Edison envelope in two lengths, ST19 and ST21, with three glasses, five filament styles and CRI 90+ on every model.
Why Consistency Matters on Heritage Projects
A restoration specifier is rarely choosing one lamp. A lobby chandelier, a corridor of sconces or a back bar of pendants can add up to dozens or hundreds of lamps seen together, often at eye level, with the filament exposed. Small differences in filament shape, bulb proportion or color become obvious when they repeat across a room.
The Foundry Edison keeps those variables few and fixed. Each catalog number is one envelope, one glass, one filament and one color temperature, so a schedule that names one number gets the same lamp in every socket. The ST19 measures 5.0″ × 2.3″ and the ST21 5.4″ × 2.5″, both on an E26 medium base.
Warm Light That Dims to Off
Amber and smoked glass run at 2200K, the low, warm light of a dimmed incandescent that reads as period lighting rather than modern white. Clear glass runs at 2700K, the brighter choice over a bar or a table where people read a menu. CRI is 90 or higher on every model, so wood, brass, plaster and fabric render accurately even at the warm end.
Every model dims to off. That matters on heritage jobs, where dimming is often the main tool for setting the mood of a room and a lamp that misbehaves at low levels is easy to notice. The datasheet lists 20 compatible dimmers from five manufacturers, so you can check the controls on a schedule against it before you specify.
Envelopes, Glass and Filaments
ST19 and ST21. Two envelope lengths cover the common period proportions. The ST19 carries every glass and filament; the ST21 comes in amber with the standard filament.
Amber, clear and smoked glass. Amber leans warmer and more aged, clear shows the filament most directly, and smoked gives a darker envelope with a quieter glow.
Five filament styles. Standard, vertical spiral, horizontal spiral, squirrel cage and looped. All five come on the amber ST19, the smoked ST19 has the vertical spiral, and the clear ST19 uses the standard filament.
Two outputs. 3.5W at 200 lumens, a 40W incandescent equivalent, or 4.0W at 400 lumens, a 60W equivalent.
Compliance. The two 400-lumen /JA8 models, amber and clear, are JA8 and Title 20 compliant for California projects. Every model is UL Listed, rated for wet locations and rated for enclosed fixtures.
Matching a Room Full of Lamps
The hardest part of a large heritage spec is keeping every lamp in the room the same. The simplest way to protect it is to schedule one catalog number per look. Lamps that share a number share the envelope, the glass, the filament and the color temperature.
The Foundry Edison packs 48 to a case, so a corridor or a ballroom can be ordered in whole cases of the same number. Need a color temperature that isn’t on the datasheet? Talk to your rep.
Where The Foundry Edison Gets Specified
Restoration and heritage interiors. Historic hotels, theaters, civic buildings and landmark interiors, where an exposed lamp has to look the part.
Hospitality. Lobby chandeliers, corridor sconces and bar pendants, where dozens of exposed lamps are seen together.
Restaurants and bars. Pendant runs over bars and tables, where a warm, dimmable, consistent look carries the room. Clear glass at 2700K is the brighter choice where guests read a menu.
Residential and lanterns. Because it is rated for wet locations and for enclosed fixtures, the lamp in a covered-entry lantern can match the one over the dining table.
Part of the Vintage Décor Series
The Foundry Edison is one of six named lamps in Archipelago Lighting’s Décor vintⒶGE series, alongside The Belgravia Victorian, The Provence Globe, The Marconi Radio, The Brighton Tubular and The Glasgow Candelabra. Where the Belgravia Victorian is the A-shape in amber or smoked glass, the Foundry Edison is the shouldered ST envelope: the lamp to reach for when a fixture was drawn around an Edison. For mid-century shapes, see the Décor nostⒶLGIC series.
The Foundry Edison carries a 3-year limited warranty and a 25,000-hour rated life. The product page has every catalog number, the datasheet and the full dimmer list.

Answers for the job
Frequently Asked Questions
What sizes and glass finishes does it come in?
Two envelopes on an E26 medium base: the ST19 at 5.0 in by 2.3 in and the ST21 at 5.4 in by 2.5 in. The ST19 comes in amber, clear and smoked glass; the ST21 comes in amber.
What color temperature and CRI does it have?
Amber and smoked models are 2200K and clear models are 2700K. Every model is CRI 90 or higher.
How low does The Foundry Edison dim?
Every model dims to off. The datasheet lists 20 compatible dimmers from Lutron, Leviton, Legrand, Forbes & Lomax and Cooper.
Which filament styles are offered?
Five: standard, vertical spiral, horizontal spiral, squirrel cage and looped. All five come on the amber ST19. The smoked ST19 has the vertical spiral, and the clear ST19 and the amber ST21 use the standard filament.
How do I keep a large order consistent?
Schedule one catalog number per look. Each number fixes the envelope, glass, filament and color temperature, so every lamp on that line of the schedule is the same lamp. They pack 48 to a case.
What is the rated life and warranty?
The Foundry Edison is rated for 25,000 hours and carries a 3-year limited warranty.
Is there a compliant version for California projects?
Yes. The two 400-lumen /JA8 models, ST19 amber at 2200K and ST19 clear at 2700K, are JA8 and Title 20 compliant.
Can it go in a wet location or an enclosed fixture?
Yes. The Foundry Edison is UL Listed, rated for wet locations and rated for enclosed fixtures.
